HARRISBURG If what is alleged is true, the judge who arraigned Jerry Sandusky on $100,000 unsecured bail also had ties to his charity organization, in the form of being a hefty donor, volunteer and gala attendee, among other things.
That is the claim State Rep. Mike Vereb, R-150th of Montgomery County, is making against District Justice Leslie Dutchcot, who, by some sources, gave Sandusky a mere slap on the wrist when she arraigned him last week. He pays nothing unless he does not show up for court.
In a letter sent to State Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald Castille Monday, Vereb asks the judge to look into why Dutchcot ignored the requests of prosecutors when they sought bail of $500,000 and that Sandusky be harnessed with an ankle bracelet for tracking.
Ive asked the chief justice to step in and stop this mockery of justice, Vereb told The Times Herald.

The Penn St scandal stinks to high heaven. He’s been doing this for 15+ years. There’s three instances where he was caught red handed and got a slap on the wrist. The college is painfully guilty of sweeping this under the rug for years. Dispicable.
And with the burning allegations against Sandusky, he should be behind bars until his court appearances.
Was reading this article and thinking about Free Republic and how it has contributed to sanity in this nation. consider the TVs that are still functional not having been shot, the walls without holes punched in them, the many small children who have not yet learned profanities. This is all due to Jim and Free Republic lending us a megaphone to shout our frustrations at the world. So get off your wallets people, put your money where your mouth is and help us pay for that megaphone. our sanity depends on this.

Perhaps the female judge is afraid of disappearing like the DA on the case a few years back.
