I don’t know. Going back to my childhood, the message I got from my dad was it was ok to “be naked” with others of the same sex, but not in mixed company. Massages were to be done by a member of the same sex. Skinny dipping was done in male company. This, I think, was the attitude with the YMCA, because as gay as they looked, I didn’t think all of those old men could be queer.

That’s changed. Men don’t want to be naked around other men because it isn’t safe - you don’t know who’s a f-ing homo. It’s very hard for men even to be friends with one another without being concerned about “looking gay.” This f-ing gay-ok culture has largely robbed men of the ability to have non-sexual intimate friendships with other men.

Mindsets have dramatically changed. It’s so evil now and like you said, men cannot be seen together anymore without the thought...I’m guilty of that as well. Seeing 2 men in the grocery store always prompts the thought/question.

It’s no different with women either though. I’m always uncomfortable to be seen alone with a woman. Ridiculous because I know what’s going on but ...

Our society is sick and dying.
