I'll bet there are Freepers that have lost more than that in a single boating accident.
Actually you’re right.
“Looks like both have had their magazines removed, so the weapons are undoubtedly unloaded...”
For those unfamiliar with firearms function/safety.....the lack of a magazine does NOT mean that a weapon is unloaded.....it just means there will not be a second, third, or forth shot...........
“Those AKs are so poorly maintained that they are worthless.”
The singular attribute of an AK-47 type weapon is that they will take a huge amount of neglect and still go bang, making them an ideal weapon for indigious/irregular users.
Other than that AK’s are junk from the first day they were assembled........JMHO
Let’s give some credit to the Indian Navy. If they removed the magazine then they no doubt also cleared the chamber.
My post was intended for those reading that might think that removing the magazine unloads a weapon......The Indian Military, with it’s long historical relationship is most certainly professional and I’m sure would know that.....US civilians .....not so much......
Somalis have declared war against India.

“Somalis have declared war against India.”
The mouse that roared!
the problem is that the shippies going through the Straits of Aden are unarmed — that’s why the pirates are a threat. I’m not completely sure WHY they are unarmed, but I bleive it’s got something to do with the insurance or something
