Wow, so much for property rights. This park is PRIVATE property. This is outrageous, these occupoopers are getting away with so much it’s beyond funny now.
Brookfield sold their soul when this deal was made and the devil has now come to collect. But the issue is this: the definition of public use. To give the park over to squatters is the exact opposite of public use.
The OWS people are lawyered up to the teeth and were able to secure this friendly judge (although many others would have made the same ruling, I’m sorry to say, as our judge selection process is totally corrupt in a one-party town).
We need a lawsuit by a conservative public interest group, to get these people out on behalf of the citizens of New York.
Getting the law changed to disallow these public/private hybrids is not possible with the City Council we have now, corrupt self-serving slackers in a one-party town.
