This link to my foundational essay, Killers Without Conscience, will take you to some thought-provoking material. The essay is slowly but surely turning into a book on the subject. It's one of the dark corners of human nature and modernity's greatest curse, brought to life by the convergence of some of the most toxic ideas and outlooks the world has ever seen. I'll be curious to see what you think.

Fantastic essay. Turn it into a book. A masterpiece.

This is off the wall & a bit irreverent — hate to attack the dead — but I couldn’t help wondering if Steven Jobs’s personality had a lot to do with his Syrian father. In his dealings with people he seemed very Arabic — hotheaded, vain, cunning, vicious, impetulant. At the same time he considered himself a poet & a romantic (other Arab traits). “Reality distortion” is a very Middle Eastern mentality. Just my .02.

Brilliant insight, and dead-on. Jobs was also the nastiest level of progressive Leftist. Bill and Hillary stayed at his house more than once. The level of adulation that hustler still commands is revolting.

And this is not a criticism of Apple. In fact, is a defense of the hundreds, if not thousands of people who worked there who were crushed under Jobs' malignant narcissism, if not robbed of their work outright.

After all, there's a reason so many top people quit, and why Woz wouldn't talk to him for years at a time.

I found this linked from another thread. That thread was on ISIS, and this thread was linked to explain some of the similarities of ISIS and the Mexican drug gangs.

I think I will have to read Quigley’s work. Tragedy and Hope was written in 1966, the year I was born. I feel it may offer a lot.

Modern academia and politics has discounted so much work in history which explains so much. Political correctness has become so powerful as to threaten us.

The idea our cultures carry artifacts from thousands of years ago used to be normal thinking of anthropologists. Now it is discounted.

I have a lot of personal reading I am going to need to do.

Anything by Quigley is well worth your time, and you will invest a great deal of time wrapping your head around his work.

And, I might add, you will never see the world in quite the same way ever again.

At some point, the plates for half of Tragedy and Hope were destroyed, and an edition was put out that was only one half of the book.

Wow. Ann Coulter documents the rampant child-rape and gang-rape in the entire non-Western world. The Mexican/Muslim invasion has brought child-rape and gang-rape to the U.S. an a huge scale.

She mentions that in one very recent year, 318 ten-year-old girls gave birth in Mexico City. The figure for all of Western Europe and North America was...SIX.

This is the culture the Pope is haranguing us about—i.e., that we must import as many people as possible from this sick world into Europe and North America.

Tragedy and Hope was famous as Bill Clinton’s favorite book, which makes me wonder why he isn’t a strong voice for eliminating stream of Peruvian-Pakistani “immigration” that is flooding into America...? Statutory invasion, is still invasion.

Bill Clinton took what he learned from Tragedy and Hope and used it in the service of self-aggrandizement and the exercise of tyranny.

The Spanish language that is spoken in most of the Americas is called Castillian Spanish. It is very much a hybrid of a Latin language and the Arabic language. The Spanish word “al” is “a el”, English “to the”. In a sentence it would be like get to the point, get a el point, get al point. Arabic al Quaida is a lot like Spanish “a el Quaida”.

Just a thought, since a language is a way of looking at reality.

Thanks for posting this portion of his book. I’m nearly finished with Tragedy and Hope and I’m finding it one of the best books that I have ever read. This post put the book on my “to read” list.

Quote: “Interestingly enough, these attitudes have successfully survived the efforts of the three great religions of ethical monotheism, native to the area, to change these attitudes. The ethical sides of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam sought to counteract harshness, egocentricity, tribalism, cruelty, scorn of work and of one’s fellow creatures, but these efforts, on the whole, have met with little success throughout the length of the Pakistani-Peruvian axis.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I understand how Judaism and Christianity tries to counteract this, but how does ‘islam’ try to counteract this harshness.
I really do not understand. Found a link to this article today and read most of it. Maybe should have read all!!!
Thanks!
Take care.........pilgrim
