Perry isn't ready for any political office, and is an embarrassment on the same level as Romney who supports illegal immigration, and real Conservatives don't support that, and never will. You don't call your own people “heartless” for being against a nation killing problem that's a bigger threat to our nation than any Muslim nation or terrorist group, and has killed more U.S. citizens, and caused more damage to our nation than any of those. It's a big deal, and Perry isn't bringing that crap to the national level.

Responding to your “heartless” comment;

Perry said, “If you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than they have been brought there by no fault of their own, I don’t think you have a heart,”

Of course, we are required by the Federal government to educate them through 12th grade. Perry preferred enabling them to PAY instate tuition to attend college rather than have them enter the welfare system.
