There was a time when Freddie could have been considered a model organization, then Barney & co. got their hands on it.
Freddie payed Newt as a consultant. He gave advice which apparently wasn’t heeded. Is that really a problem? Aren’t conservatives about fixing problems? Unfortunately he couldn’t mandate they take his advice. I applaud his effort.
Anyone who thinks a quasi-government organization is the way to go is not a conservative. Newt is a big government guy and that won’t likely change.
