I think it was Rush who said a local ice cream shop had served a “Sandusky Special” for years! It was 2 scoops of ice cream on the bottom, with an upside-down cone on it, and a cherry on top, if I heard correctly. You get the image. If that is TRUE...it means the whole community was in on it!

That’s what I’ve been hearing. I’ve never spent any time in Penn., but it sounds like this was common knowledge. Or at least common rumor.
He also said you couldn’t order it without nuts.
Ahh - PSU’er here 89-94...that is an on-campus ice cream shop. But sorry to say - the suggestion that the “whole community was in on it” is a bit of a stretch...I always ordered Mint Chip...It was there when I arrived...It was there when I left.
Sorry - despite his seeming fame - I think more than half the current student body wouldn’t have a clue who “Jerry Sandusky” is or was...if you asked before last week.
