“The United States may well be the most war prone country in the history of civilization.”

I'm glad he isn't a history professor. This statement shows a remarkable lack of knowledge of basic history.

Iroquois, Sioux, Aztecs, Huns, Mongols, Vikings, Celts, Romans, Spartans (FTM Greeks in general), Assyrians, etc., etc., etc.

And Apache, the name itself means "enemy" in Zuni. Heck, if you were a Jivaroan male there was a 60% you were going to die in battle.

Anasazi is a Navajo word that means, approximately, Ancient Enemies.

The Anasazi, of course, are probably the ancestors of the Zuni and other Pueblo peoples. And the Navajo are sort of the (comparatively) peaceful branch of the Apache.

Recent archaeological discoveries have pretty well blown a hole in the theory beloved of anthropologists that the Anasazi were peaceful. They held this belief despite the remarkably obvious defensive nature of the cliff dwellings. Some tried to claim these highly inconvenient dwelling were built to trap solar energy!

Recent evidence has shown that some, at least, of the Anasazi were into cannibalism and perhaps human sacrifice.

If my neighbors got into that, I'd move into a cliff dwelling myself!
