Cain didn’t say he had never met the woman. He said he couldn’t recall having met her. I have met Mr Cain, at a political event, but I am willing to bet Mr Cain would not recall me either. Just because you meet a bunch of people at a big event doesn’t mean you remember every one of them.

I have a difficult time remembering all the people I meet, and I would imagine that Cain has met thousands more than I have.
I do better remembering events, but that requires that someone accurately describes what happened.
Did anyone see the news conference? What did the boyfriend claim? Did he ever actually meet Cain? Or is all of his information second-hand?
I could actually produce a credit card statement from 15 years ago to show that I paid for a hotel. Does he have anything like that?
