Since the federal budget had been unified, the issue was money in versus money out. There has been no separating of social security since LBJ. I don’t know how old you are, editor, but perhaps you remember this. I do.

Therefore, on the overall budget Gingrich led to a surplus, and that is something we do not have today.

Would you prefer today’s trillion dollar deficit or Gingrich’s 100 billion dollar surplus?

Here’s the simple truth: Cain and Perry are not ready for prime time. Cain can’t answer a foreign policy question to save his life, and us radical pro-lifers haven’t heard a position out of him yet that makes sense. Perry has imploded with his immigration positions, but that’s not the real problem...he can’t articulate his ideas. Santorum can’t get traction or attract money, and BAchmann has become a harpie. Paul, of course, likes to pretend the US is not affected by events overseas.

Romney is, and always has been, a liberal.

In addition to being a real conservative, Gingrich is the best prepared, most articulate, and most insightful guy left standing.

It’s a hard pill for some to swallow, but it is the truth.

You know that there was no balanced budget.

The debt service alone at that time was an additional 51% of the disclosed budget, so in reality, Noot’s budget was massively in the red; why didn’t he tell us that?

Newt is not faintly conservative. He embraces every feel-good leftist/globalist idea out there.

Newt is the very least qualified of all the candidates. He is a smooth talker, and has zero moral qualms about offering what the people want to hear, while knowing full well that he will act in the opposite manner. We cannot afford to let that man loose in power.

Your deliberate misrepresentation of Cain is starting to make me wonder where you are on the spectrum.

I agree Xzins....Newt's the best left standing...and certainly has the ability needed to do the job...He knows what needs surgical strikes and has his plans to do just that on the table. He IS prepared.

The more I went back to see where Newt has come from, how he has re-visted where he has stood in the past, how he now articulates and explains himself, and that believable...the less I have concerns of what he will do in Washington.....I think those who think they have Newt down to a science from his past mis-steps are going to find there's a changed man operating within who has reins, which is why Newt now comes across very much at peace with himself...his past...and how he views the future for our country. I'm not trusting Newt as much as the one he now claims as his own...and this without expecting Newt to be perfect...he's not and like most politicians he will not be able to satsify everyone...but he is the best left standing now...and he can certainly do more than go head to head with Obama.

I honestly believe Newt can hardly wait to take on Obama and reveal Him for what he really is in full view of the audiance.
