Newt will start getting front-runner scrutiny....and that will be good. Newt is my first choice out of this bunch, but we need to see if he and his campaign can handle intense scrutiny and a re-litigation of his personal and political life. If he can emerge from that gauntlet, then he could be a formidable opponent for Obama.
Newt wins the nomination and you can kiss the republic good bye. Obama will probably beat Newt.
