Exactly correct.

We are suppose to think that Petrano gets this report and just reports it and then never thinks about it again?

Any normal man would have asked the Grad student, 'you saw this and didn't stop it?

Too much here for a normal person to accept as being reasonable.

Only Penn State grads can believe it.

The agenda of those critical of Paterno and PSU here at free republic is not seeing children raped. Any agenda you have, that is not that, is indecent.

>> A father like that should not have had to endure so much Penn State fan profanity, verbal abuse, somebody slapping him on the stomach, people knocking his signs down, etc.

Agreed, but he has our respect.

I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it all.

Most who are affiliated with the college are I think. I live in PA. and this has affected me profoundly. It's my state...though I have zero interest in the team or college. Just shows the tenticles of this whole disgusting matter spreads much wider and further then what any would have imagined....smae thing happened with the catholic church and they still haven't dealt with the issue head on.

I believe many hope the media will stop carrying this over time ..so they are holding out that when that happens things will be aok. It's a form of denial.

Bottom line on this is children were raped and sodomized, adults turned their heads away, nobody asked about the children even after it was disclosed...and still little is said how they are now...and a pervert continued his attacks.

I also believe students got wind of this going on...after all if adults walked in on these acts you can pretty much assume some student over a fifteen year period also took not of things happening. I think we’ll be hearing from them as time moves along.

I think so too. Paterno told Sadusky he was not taking over.
Paterno didn’t supposedly tell Sandusky, he told him, which is why Sandusky “retired.”

I’m wondering how secret this all is...who knew? And of those who knew something, what did they know.

What about Second Mile? Counselors all over the State referred at risk kids to this program

This is mind boggling to me.

I think this is huge, far more than what we’ve learned, what the media is reporting.

And no one cared enough about the kids. No one.

I question why would Sandusky do this at the college? When he apparently used his basement room. Was his disgusting mind throwing it in the face of the college...or maybe he wanted to be caught? On the other hand perverts, like habitual criminals which they are, do gain a false sense of never being caught and become more bold in thier actions.

If there is any truth to the claim that wealthy donors were involved, you can bet a lot of people are ready to puke their guts out in fear.

It wouldn't surprise me to see suicides before this is over.

Oh I’m sure they’re many wondering if they will be brought into this hurricane...and of course they fear this..and should IMO. Some will not be able to surpress their involvement and spill their guts to the authorities,..and then the ball will roll. Only takes one to name names...and some will do that in hopes of relieving the pressure they are inwardly feeling.

Yes. Shame and scorn have always been an important part of justice for crimes like this, in addition to criminal penalties.

Getting back to the original post, Satan’s disgust. Las Vegas posted Nebraska -3 at PSU early in the week. It dipped to -2.5. Then the shitstorm, the line rose to -3, to -3.5, and higher. As of Friday night, 77 percent of betting was on Nebraska. I don’t know who set the over/under at 43 and what he was drinking. Nebraska led all the way but Penn St. rallied but fell short. Nebraska, 17-14.
All I know is that Penn St. bettors got all the money from the bookies, legit and otherwise.

“Joe was told a week later. there is nothing to break up or stop.”

Really? How about years and years of the serial rapes of children?

“should he have gone into Sandusky’s office with a baseball bat?”

No, he should have done whatever it took to get to the truth of the matter, and he should not have given up until he had proved or disproved the allegations.

“the only one at fault were those that hired Sandusky, Sandusky himself, and those homosexuals that were in his inner circle participating in the ‘pimping’”

I can’t believe you really think that. If I’m ever getting stomped by a gang (after I’ve expended all my ammunition, of course) I hope you’re not the sole passer-by. I would much prefer someone who would at least dial 911.

McQueary should have dialed 911, stopped the rape, and held both the loathsome pervert and his victim for the police. It could be determined at the hospital whether the boy had been raped, and McQueary could have told the police who did it.

Everybody who knew about it and failed to stop it is an accomplice.

And I don’t believe their hearts didn’t nag them for dereliction of that duty.

I’m far from certain myself, but that’s what he said.

From Penn State students rioting last Wed. night... ...to Penn State fans verbally abusing and trying to censor a single protestor -- a father who id'd with the victims -- @ Saturday's game.

...and yet we hear what a wonderful and outstanding group of citizens they have in Sodomite Valley...and yet NO ONE chose to stand with this brave man? In fact; many chose to CURSE him for standing up. Former players came from all around the nation to stand with the team, but NONE of them would stand with this man.

Action speak louder than words. You have chosen your god, Sodomite Valley; and we all know it.

using your analogy, mcqueary would be the solo-passerby and i would be the guy living in the condo complex he told the following day (i have since learned the time-line that showed Joe was told the following day, not week, and then he contacted his superior, the athletic director).

i called the supervisor of the complex and explained what i heard but did not witness. their job would be to contact local police and report it (as an fyi, if they did and you didn’t also report... the cops would do nothing)

what more would you like me to do? the gang members live in our complex and i’ve contacted the front office. as i haven’t witnessed the event, the event is over, and i’m a mid 60s football coach... not kojak... what more should i do? get a gun, find the gang and start shooting? that’s a non starter. maybe i should evict them from their condo... except i don’t have that power, since i’m not the supervisor of the complex. maybe i should go around to the other condos and try to rally people against the gang... except we’ve been told for years that the ‘gang lifestyle’ is not to be harassed.

face it... Joe Paterno is the public face of Penn State and you’re working off emotion. odds are good he stomped your football team and you’d like some payback. classy.
