I've heard propaganda like that before. What Germany is doing to Europe now is not like anything Britain ever did. Don't ask Germany or the EU to suddenly recognize Greece's independence from the EU, like Britain recognized Argentina's independence back in 1825.
The Brits did this to Argentina about a century ago. They owed debts they didn't intend to pay so the Brits took over. They organized the cattle industry and built railroads
