The walls of the city collapsed, the Israelites charged straight in and end of story. And massacred every living soul, including the elderly, sick, women, children and babies.
Something to be proud of.

Something God told them to do. The land had to be cleansed. Disobey at your peril.

So, is the troll an atheist, or simply anti-Semitic?

Israel was told to do this, the land was to be theirs and Gods Law was theirs to follow. All traces of the existing paganism was to be wiped away to prevent its encroachment into Israel.
Yet, overall, Israel did not obey. And to this day pays for it.
Lastly, if you have a problem with what God told Israel to do, take it up with God.

Just think of all the trouble that would have been avoided if ALL the Clintonoids had been purged when the oval office was sanitized.

God told Israel to do, Nonesense.
That's exactly what radical Islamists would say.

That's exactly what radical Islamists would say. Hmm.. It sounds to me like you know what's better for the world than God does.
What's that like? Frustration? Boredom?

So, is the troll an atheist, or simply anti-Semitic? Well I call the annihilation of innocent Euro Jews in the '30's and '40's mass murder and a holocaust and I would would say the same for the innocent inhabitants of Jericho.
The Israelis of those times were no better than the Nazis or the radical Islamists of today.
Murder is murder and to claim that God told you to do it is totally insane.
We don't buy it from Islamists. Why would we buy it from any other religion?

I assume you believe God is a cosmic Saddam Hussein? Nope. I believe that since God created everything, it is all His to do with as He chooses.
Life is only sacred because it belongs to Him.

I assume that if you believed you heard God tell you to kill someone (maybe a child) you'd do it?

I assume that if you believed you heard God tell you to kill someone (maybe a child) you'd do it? I'd probably assume that I was crazy, since I'd also know that the seventh commandment is still in effect.
If you honestly don't know the difference between murder and war, you have more issues than can be solved on an anonymous forum, and I suggest you find some professional help.

Wow, and I thought Islamists were the only religious nutjobs.. If my view of the sacredness of life qualifies me to be a religious nutjob, tell me why, exactly, life is sacred, outside of God.

The fact that you say this demonstrates that you haven't bothered to do anything more than the most superficial reading. First, the "radical Islamists" claim a world-wide war against anything that is not Muslim. Second, you've got your equivalency exactly backwards: the Muslim over-generalization was derived from the specific and limited instructions given in the Torah regarding the conquest of part of Palestine. Had the Jews and Christians not been the dominant and high-tech culture of the Arabian Peninsula, Mohammed, had he even been born, would have had little if any of another's history to expropriate to provide a historical justification for his warrior cult.

And who is your God? Your self? And why should we listen to you, you who are unable to create life on a barren world?
Who are you and who is your God that we should listen to you?

The only one of that city that was spared was a prostitute who gave shelter to the spies of Israel. Her and her family were spared, all who were with her at her home. She is even in the blood line of Jesus.
So, no, not ALL were killed.
If you don’t understand that the religious of that time and of that land were abominations with child sacrifice included, then you are not someone who speaks with knowledge.
Yet, the Israelites did not do all of what God commanded, and their religion was contaminated with falseness, and they still pay the price. And this very nation today practices those same abominations of child sacrifice.
