The death threats against McQueary were because he spoke TOO MUCH. Tells you the attitude.

All together too many people here on FR have taken a hollier than thou attitude toward McQueary by saying he should have immediaely fought with Sandusky and called the police. At the time he was the lowest on the totem pole, indeed the one under the outhouse, at Penn State. Those threats show exacctly the kind of total personal and professional destruction that appeared to await him if he moved that way. Instead, he chose to follow the law and report the incident to his immediate superior, about all most of us here would have done under similar circumstances. Indeed, he comes out of the grand jury report as the cleanest of the bunch.

Maybe that’s all you would have done, but then you apparently believe that craven careerism justifies what the louse McQueary did or didn’t do - I’m surprised his own father didn’t kick his *ss when he came whining to him about Sandusky’s boy-rape.

Doing the right thing never 'pays', it always 'costs'. That's why it is so rare that 'most of us' apparently don't do it. It's good to know that I'm not like 'most of us'.

"Indeed, he comes out of the grand jury report as the cleanest of the bunch."

A fitting epitaph..."I was the cleanest of the bunch."

I think a few of us in here would differ. I hold McQuery 99% to blame. I would have attacked this basta*d with both hands.. Whats he gonna do? He’s nekkid and raping a 10 year old kid. HE WALKED AWAY and called his DADDY who told him to come home. Can you imagine the kids thoughts when his and McQuerys eyes met as he was getting raped? The Calvary!! Wait.hey wait. COME BACK! HELP! Let us not allow McQ to forget it. SCUM OF THE EARTH STILL ON PSU PAYROLL. Spit on his grave.

He still had plenty of opportunity to do the right thing and follow through. OK, you tell your boss you saw a crime or thought you saw a crime and no leo shows up for an interview?
