Were you aware that Joe Paterno was a literature major at Brown? One would assume that an Ivy League literature major is familiar with Edmund Burke, who said:
All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
I knew that.
I believe all he cared about was football and his $1,000,000 a year salary.
I say that because I believe he shared this information with his wife. He talked to her about it. It was a big part of his life because Sandusky was EVERYWHERE, he wasn’t swept off into a dark corner, forgotten.
And if he shared with his wife the information that he knew about Sandusky, it was a part of his personal life. Sandusky came into their conversations when they were seated alone on the back deck. Pedophilia was a in their private conversations as a couple.
And still, Paterno didn’t get angry, disgusted, or outraged enough to do the right thing and remove Sandusky from the inner sanctum of Penn State football. Nor did he turn himself inside out to see that the sonofabitch was prosecuted.
“”How many children were victimized for years because NO ONE STOOD UP AND ACTED LIKE A MAN?”

If that is true, Brown should rescind its degree to Paterno due to his demonstrated ignorance and stupidity!
