Starting with Reagan Republicans are generally at lot more disappointed in November when they elect ‘Moderates’, than when they elect conservatives.
That has been proven for 9 elections now since 1976. I guess we can nominate a moderate and be disappointed AGAIN if we chose not to accept history.
"WE", IMHO, implies a monolithic Republican electorate. That is simply not the case and is the reason I expressed my concern.
