To: Jim Robinson

I understand the “fight for the soul” of the party thinking. If we can not elect a conservative after 4 years of this O’conomy, then we never will.

Specter was a Senator in PA for forever and a day, but I never voted for him. But I do not place Romney on par with a lib like Specter. Romney is 1000 times better than Obama. Even though I am for Newt, I will gladly vote for Romney if nominated.

I suggest you work very, very hard for a candidate other than mittens to be nominated. Because without the conservative base, the gop candidate loses. I’m not naive enough to think that all conservatives will sit this one out, but enough will go out of their way to find something else to do on election day to tip the election.

The argument that “we have to vote for the gop candidate or life as we know it will no longer continue” no longer holds as much sway as it once did.
