I specifically asked Nitt what he heard, and it compared to what the people I knew at the game said; there were no sustained, loud cheering for Paterno. There were attempts to get a "JoePa" cheer going, but only by very few people.

For the people who say he didn’t know - or reported it as he was supposed to - or the college didn’t know what was required by law.
He was a “mandated reporter” - the grand jury finding states he was told exactly what happened - and Penn State created a web site for child abuse victims - boys and girls , can we all say “hypocrites”
