“Even though the Attorney General disagrees.”
For now. When the indictments begin coming down we’ll see how old Joe fares. I’d wager obstruction of justice, conspiracy after the fact and/or enabling of a felony.
Indictments have come down, and the AG has expressly stated that Paterno isn't a target: "We believe that under the statute, he had an obligation to report it to the school administrators, and he did that," Kelly said.
Rumor has it there is one more indictment to come, and that's very likely Spanier IMO.
As an aside, it's funny to see you advocatinga view that additional facts might come out and that could change the current status of things. Considering your complete rush to judge all actors (including those not directly involved) based on an incomplete set of facts, it seems you'd like to have it both ways. A bit more intellectual consistency is in order, I think.
Based on what? The indictments with regard to the grand jury have already been handed down, and the AG of PA has stated that "Paterno is not a target of the investigation". Obviously more information could come to light, but considering pretty much everything we know is from the GJ report, I'm not sure what you are basing your statement on.
