Sam Stellatella, a three-position player in the 1950s for Penn State, is trying to raise funds for Jerry Sandusky's legal defense.
Stellatella has donated money and has urged other former players to do the same.
"I told him he's going to need a million dollars to defend himself," the 73-year-old Stellatella told the Associated Press. "He called me back and said, `What am I going to do with this money?' I said, `Use it for your lawyer because you're going to need it.'"

That could explain why Paterno was
the highest paid person at Penn State.He was paid more than three or four MDs
running Medical research centers and twice
as much as the President of Pedophile University.
Even worse, Madden believes that Paterno and the rest of the administration knew about Sandusky's alleged affinity for showering with children for years.

Also a few non-PSU staff are on that. These dudes knew at least as far back as 1998 although I don't have evidence that the janitors knew till 2000.

How on Earth could you send money to defend this child rapist...unless you thought Sandusky was innocent. The testimony of victims and witnesses is crushing. A preponderance of direct evidence leaves no doubt. These alumni are misguided, Sandusky is not worth charity dollars that should go to help the victims and kids rather than that child rapist.
Talk of dropping football at Penn State. Incredible. Sins of the father are visited upon the children.
My question for Joe Paterno is: Hey Joe, if you had known that Sandusky raped a 10 year old in the shower in 2002, directly from an eyewitness, how could you sit down with this man face to face and work with him for 9 more years? How could you sit in the same room with him? Have him in your office for conversations? How could you eat meals, or have your family interact with this rapist? What did you think when you saw him? What was going through your mind? Joe - I am sorry but this makes you an accessory to his crimes. You carry guilt, the guilt of silence. You could have saved children from this nightmare that will haunt them for their remaining days, but you elected to win football games.

Question to Joe. Knowing in 1998 (or possibly earlier) that Sandusky was molesting little boys in your locker room, why did you keep him on your staff? Why did you keep him on your staff after he retired in 1999. Why did you refer to him as 'like a son' when he retired?
He is. He just doesn’t get it.
His statements on the record are odd. Almost like he has only a limited vocabulary and can talk only about the school, the team, and the game. Maybe he is blocking it out, but it sounds like he is not all there.

If that were so it would make the current situation look like a wee kerfuffle.

You are right, this sort of perversion and coverup have been around forever. People should look up the “Newport Incident” and FDR’s involvement in it. Paterno’s behavior is not totally unlike a similar moral coward; FDR.
Penn State Scandal: New Allegations Against Jerry Sandusky
Mark Madden, a columnist for the Beaver County Times, told a Boston radio station that Sandusky might have been pimping out children with his Second Mile foundation to rich Penn State donors. Madden, who first wrote about the Sandusky scandal in April, told the Dennis and Callahan show that two prominent columnists were currently investigating the claim.
I have a feeling the coward is singing like a canary. And that’s why Joe got a defense attorney.
The thing is, if he is talking, or it’s believed he’s talking, he may be found dead in Ft Marcy Park with a bullit wound to the back of his head. And of course, it will be ruled a suicide.
Well, if a traitor is a “Quisling,” I certainly would expect a pedophile to be a “Sandusky.”
He needs to go buy a paper.

Those who voted to approve his job as president-—knowing his bgrnd——are also complicit. We need to know what Spanier exchanged for a yes vote to make him president.
He and his wife are still on the PS payroll—as tenured profs. Looks like the ol’ wife swapper used leverage to stay on the payroll——must have some hair-raising stories to tell.

Mr. Spanier has told people close to him that the first time he heard about the 1998 allegations—which were investigated by Penn State’s police department and other law-enforcement officials, but resulted in no arrest—was last month.
Spanier is a GD liar. His PSU attorney reviewed the Child Services report in 1998. NO WAY was Spanier not informed!
