Serial child sex abuse; what could Sandusky's wife have known?

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga native Dorothy 'Dottie' Gross Sandusky not only has been her husband Jerry's partner in life, and in the raising of six adopted children; but also in his 'Second Mile' charity.
Pennsylvania prosecutors allege the former Penn State defensive coordinator used Second Mile to find, groom and rape at least six young boys between 1994 and 2009.
Some of the alleged attacks are believed to have occurred in the couple's home.
So how, many ask, could Dottie Sandusky not have known?
"I've seen it both ways," clinical social worker Farlie Chastain says. "In which the family knows and is in denial."
"Because these people are good," Nurse Practitioner Allyson Neal says. "They are what you want them to be at any given moment."
"Very good at hiding it from everyone," Chastain says. "Very good at seducing the child and manipulating the child not to tell."

Amen but thank goodness they did that or Sandusky would still be raping little boys.
I have a creepy feeling that the pedophile pimping ring rumor is going to turn political somehow.
I knew a woman who didn’t know her husband was gay until he moved his boyfriend into the house and she caught them.
I believe she know based on 2 facts. 1) The biological mother of their oldest adoptive son made accusations after her son was placed in the Sandusky home. 2) Dottie Sandusky made a phone call to Victim 7 in the days leading up to his Grand Jury testimony and left a message for him to call her and that it was very important. He never called her back.
She knew.

Read somewhere that one victim, after something went wrong, was called multiple times by Sandusky. Dottie also called the victim as well as one of Sandusky's friends. I can't find that info right now.

Exactly! It doesn’t even seem like he was trying to hide it. He was openly raping little boys in the locker room shower. He was taking these boys on overnight trips with him and to bowl games! He was pulling them out of class at school and taking them behind closed doors. He was molesting them in the school weight room. Seems to me, Sandusky was pretty open with the fact that he was a sexual predator and little boys were his prey and everyone just gave him a wink and a nod.
Nope. Not this time. Public school teachers have been raping children for many years now. That's been swept under the rug - until maybe now. Time to blow the lid on what government employees are doing to kids.

I´m also curious that when he was ¨fired¨ as asst coach back in 98, why wasn´t he courted by a myriad of schools who now saw this Paterno protege on the open market. Was the old ¨wink and nod¨ given because it was known even then that he was a predator? That´s really scary.

We know there are more victims out there. There is the victim McQueary saw being raped in the shower. He has not been identified. Also, the Grand Jury report speaks of another victim who was identified by other victims but did not testify because he is serving the country in the armed forced overseas. I also suspect that atleast one of his adoptive sons was a victim (his bioligical mother made accusations years ago). My guess is their are dozens are additional victims.
There’s a surprisingly positive article in the NYT today about Gov. Corbett (R). As a young prosecutor he dealt with a pedophile who started a charity, Children of the Wind, to access his victims. Corbett’s Roman Catholic and the rapist priests scandal also deeply affected him.
I thought this was very interesting in the article:
“On Friday, the governor finally got the word. The grand jury indictment had been filed under seal, but because of a computer glitch it had mistakenly been made public. Soon Mr. Corbett’s office was inundated with calls. Mr. Harley reached the governor in his car.”
If it was a “glitch”, it certainly was a providential one.
Why don’t you turn your uncle in? If you don’t he might be hitting on some other kid right now.
It’s all part of the same filthy puzzle............no morals, no truth, no good and no evil. The administration and its lies and filthy sexual proclivities, the greed and lust at Penn State, the whole filthy hideous lack of anyone with backbone or a clear sense of right and wrong.
Well she certainly knew about the investigations prior...that in itself would give at least most wives a heads up to watch thereafter....and his behavior, outings with young children, etc. Well, no doubt she suspected....but in the end I think we’ll find she did know.
