After Sandusky “retired” he applied to several colleges for a job, including Maryland and a couple of others on the east coast. No takers. The coaching community is a gabby, tight-knit community. Everybody knew about Jerry’s “problem” and nobody wanted anything to do with him.
Paterno had to know about the 1998 incident, and probably more, and we know he got a direct witness earful about Sandusky from Carrottop the Coward in 2002. This stuff happened on Joe’s watch. Count me OFF the “make excuses for Joe Pa” bandwagon. I am sick up to here about it, but oh well. How many more kids were molested by Sandusky thanks to Joe Pa and the rest of the Penn State enablers?
The state should tear down that university and sell it off brick by brick and make millionaires out of every victim and refund full tuition money to all current students as well as to everybody who has ever put “Penn State” on a resume.

Lancey,
I appreciate your objectivity when this has been pure turmoil for grads like you.
I don’t envy being in your situation — or those 40,000 students part of the university.
Carrot Top has told his players “I’m done.” He should be and his dad should be questioned, too. You’d think eventually his dad would ask his son “What ever happened about that incident with the coach and the ten year old?”
He was offered the head coach position at the University of Virginia.
