So McQueary tells his superior, Coach Paterno, and he gets put on administrative leave but Paterno tells his superior, the Athletic Director, and he gets fired? Only in academia would that make sense.

Paterno had much more responsibility. He had command authority over Sandusky. McQueary had no power at all; he made his report and assumed the people in authority would take action.

McQueary is now being suspended not as punishment, but because of death threats against him from people who somehow think they could have done better.

Sports talk radio news is that McQeary has placed in “protective custody”! Can anyone confirm that?
