Five NASCAR Drivers Decline President Obamas White House Invitation
President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders wont be there.
NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart will not be attending the White House visit due to schedule conflicts.
Obama has never watched a NASCAR race in his life. He openly despises and mocks the very people who are NASCAR fans. If you want to be surrounded by Bible & Gun Clinging, red-blooded patriotic Americans, get your ass down to the oval track on Sunday. Again not Obamas kind of people.
Can you imagine Obama sitting in the stands at Talladega, with a Juan Pablo Montoya (you know, you just know if Obama was a NASCAR fan, hed be Montoya fan) t-shirt and a 16 oz plastic cup full of warm Natural Light cheering as the cars screamed around the track?
Nope neither can I.
Jeff Gluck at SB Nation has hit little girl panties in a twist over their dismissal of Obamas invite:
