Duke Energy urges electric car owners to stop using charging stations after fire
Updated: 1:37 pm EST November 9, 2011

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Duke Energy officials are asking customers who own the company's electric car charging stations to stop using the product after a house fire in Mooresville last month.

A representative from the company has confirmed to Channel 9 that an email was sent to about 125 customers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Indiana who have the same type of charging station installed in their homes.

You sound like you know what your talking about. You must be an electrical engineer. My dad was and he knew his stuff. Would this be possible if you were a rich liberal elite living near a power station?

A neighbor friend of mine who is also conservative told me about a client of his with a prius. The client told him it cost about $200 just to have a front headlight replaced. Does anyone know if this is true?

I was talking about a prius specifically, not Toyotas in general.

I just answered my own question. Yes, they are pretty costly to replace and if you read some of the posts on this website, some people are finally starting to realize that they are getting screwed like a light bulb(pun intended).

Do liberals know where electricity comes from?

Current bushes! If we just plant current bushes all along the highway then people can charge their cars whenever they want to and do it for free. Everyone knows the sun puts a charge in the current bushes when no one is using them...

Not really, I'm being sarcastic...but they are just about that simplistic in their mindview.

Maybe the Volt owners can get windmills or solar panels on their garages...

The $200 is probably because, being a good liberal, the guy has no idea how to do it for himself.

It would be easy to have charging stations in commercial locations.
Apartments complexes, strip malls, warehouses, etc.
They market electric cars for the masses, and the power grid just will not support home charging at this time.
Plus people want to drive more than 40 miles per day.
