Well, contrary to soem you can hear here, Perry has been a darn good Governor. He inherited a Governorship that had a lot less power than most other states, and he stiil was able to get a lot of things done inspite of the limitations on the office. No doubt that in itself created some enemies.

In Governor debates, Perry was always a bit behind the 8 ball, but he sure campaigned well, just as you see in his speeches in this campaign.

Would have loved for him to do better, but as they say “wish in one hand and poop in the other, to see which fills first”.

Never heard much from Anita here in Texas, so not sure about her abilities on the stump.

I can tell you that here in Florida her involvement is not going over well. We just can't figure it out. It is coming across that Anita wants in the White House more than Perry.

Maybe his adviser think involving the wife and son in his campaign will generate some segment of the voting population,

In Iowa she basically went on the air as the mouthpiece for why Perry did badly in the debates.

I don't want another Michelle or Hillary in the WH.

To the best of my recollection most Republican President's wives have taken on gracious roles as First Ladies advocating a cause, not running the business of their husbands campaign.
