The EDL were the only people who stood against England’s Muslim demonstrations and pro-Palestinian riots. They have been slandered and smeared by the British press, but they stand up against Islam in England. And your accusations about “racial hatred” and “assault” are untrue. Just the opposite. They do come from the soccer and rugby hooligan groups, because apparently the Choir Boy Defence League was ineffective.

No, my accusations are not lies. It is a fact that many in the EDL have links to the BNP and older members to the National Front. The head of the EDL, Stephen Lennon, is nothing but an ex-football hooligan, with convictions for hooliganism, assault and racial hatred.
I am British. I know the EDL better than anyone here, bar the other British freepers. I find it hilarious/arrogant to be told by people 3000 miles away what ‘is happening’ in my own country and what certain people ‘are’. Just as it would be if I told you what the KKK was about and that you were ignorant. Sorry, but I have seen the EDL in the flesh, and they are a group in MY country, not yours. I know what they are better than people who get their idea of the EDL from FR. This idea that the EDL are ‘heroes’ because they are ‘standing up to the Muslims’ is a joke.
Yes, there is a problem with a minority of Muslim youth and extremists in the UK. A small number who get far too much publicity. But the idea that a group of white men with questionable pasts are heroic champions of liberty and freedom is nonsense.
