DA Who Never Charged Sandusky Has Been Missing Since 2005
NBCPhiladelphia ^ | 11/10/11 | By Teresa Masterson

It is strange that Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar never prosecuted Jerry Sandusky on child-rape charges 13 years ago, some speculate, because Gricar was known for being fiercely independent and hard on crime.

But it is even stranger that we cannot ask Gricar why Sandusky was not put behind bars because the tough-as-nails district attorney disappeared in 2005. And though he was declared dead July of this year, his body has never been found.

"People ask why Ray did not prosecute, and I have no problem saying, because he clearly felt he didn't have a case for a 'successful' prosecution," Tony Gricar, Ray Gricar’s nephew , told The Patriot-News.

"... One thing I can say is that Ray was beholden to no one, was not a politician."

This district attorney who had “a bitter taste in his mouth for the [Penn State] program, and its coach,” according to his nephew, and yet never prosecuted Sandusky, disappeared on April 15, 2005 after telling his girlfriend that he was going on a drive.

He was part of the ring perhaps? Was going to out the members so they killed him. Or suicide over guilt.

Case keeps getting larger.

Hope this exposes similar rings in other high places.

He was absolutely part of the ring. Trying to get rid of the hard drive and all.

Likely suicide. He knew he couldn’t prosecute or they would expose him. Nowhere to turn.

The investigation took place in 1997-98, he dropped the case, but I would guess he was about to start over when one of the coaching staff disappeared him.

It sure is beginning to sound like that sex pervert ring some years ago in Belgium, where the guy kept young girls locked in his basement. It turned out that a lot of VIPs were involved in it, and it was basically stuffed back into the cellar darkness except for a few sacrificial goats.

The latest headline on Drudge leads to an article citing “rumors” that Sandusky was pimping out young boys to rich guys willing to pay for them.

More coming?

Do you have any evidence to link the missing DA to this case? The reality is that DA's are involved in many cases in their tenures and choose not top prosecute a great many of them. A case like the 1998 Sandusky incident is not unusual for DA's.

Donors give millions get top pick of the litter of boys he cultivated over the years in his program everyone else gets bribed with money or jobs or honors to keep quiet. It could have happened.

Even if it didn’t the fact that these questions can be raised and will be raised for years pose a serious problem for this program.

BULLSHIT! He had a recorded admission FGS! I’ll add Tony Gricar to the list of people covering up for all of this!

What sort of evidence do you have to link Gricar to this case? Without evidence you are imagining things.

Gricar, as a district attorney, was involved with far more serious cases than the 1998 Sandusky case.

Don’t forget Gricar’s brother committed suicide in a similar looking place before Gricar disappeared.

Do you enjoy talking out your a**? You have no clue what this guy was like, and yet you’ve instantly linked him to a gay pedophilia ring with zero evidence. Must be nice being able to spew unfounded accusations behind an anonymous keyboard.

Selective enforcement is the road to despotism.

What do you mean by that? District Attorneys commonly choose not to prosecute. Its possible that he didn't think he could win the case in court.
