Herman has been through the wringer fighting these bogus sexual harassment charges. That’s why I think he fell back on 9-9-9 more than a few times: he was simply worn out. I’d much rather see him go over the same points than have a Rick Perry moment!

To be fair, a president does need to be able to handle stressful situations, but you’ve got to remember that Cain is a newcomer to the political fray. Let’s see how he handles himself in the next debate.

I don’t think anyone expects Cain to turn into the next Newt Gingrich in terms of encyclopedic knowledge, but I do think he needs to come out swinging with some new material. If he does, I think his chances will be better than ever.

If not, he may find Newt closing in on him. Newt’s been making steady progress throughout the debates, and if you add ex-Perry supporters who value political experience in a candidate, it might give Newt the support he needs to overtake Romney in the next few weeks.

He didn't 'fall back onto 999'. The debate was primarily about the ECONOMY and JOBS and his 999 affects both so he pointed that out.
