There’s a difference between not being able to answer a question because you don’t KNOW the answer - and not being able to answer a question because your brain just freezes up momentarily. I’ve had that happen before, and the harder you try to retrieve it, the farther away it goes.
It’s terribly embarrassing to happen during a national debate, but Perry recovered and did OK. In fact, if you take away the brain fart moment - this was his best debate yet, he was doing great.
He admits he messed up and owned the embarrassment - at least he didn’t try to blame anyone else or make excuses. I find that to be a likeable trait. He’ll get back on the horse. I still think he is the most qualified candidate running.
Didn’t see the debate, but probably 85% of those who did including DC bureacRATS were screaming ENERGY! in their heads because they know what he intends to do with that department.
So, he couldn’t remember the word but everybody watching knew what he meant.
We’ll see. The Perry un-supporters will have to wait and see what happens.
