Completely agree. There was enough smoke to indict Paterno if the prosecutor had asked the GJ for one.
Since the various police agencies were investigating an incident that happened in the football bldg. locker room/s, it’s impossible to believe the detectives didn’t talk to Paterno or an underling that would surely have told Paterno in detail what/who they were investigating. Perhaps whether Sandusky should have been indicted in 1998 is debatable, but whether Paterno knew about Sandusky’s misbehavior with boys as early as 1998 is not. His “if only I’d known” excuse is ridiculous and sickening.
