“Possibly but my guess is that Sandusky had the goods on some one high up and Spanier would have been gone.”
It would have also derailed Spanier’s attempt to turn Pedophile State in to the most gay-friendly campus in America.
Lack of morality leads to immorality, every single time.
If you weren’t already disgusted by this, the cheapest Nebraska-Penn State ticket on StubHub now $175, with prices climbing fast for Saturday’s game.
It’s their seniors’ game. Some of it was arranged before the scandal broke.
Everyone in the university and sports administration should be interviewed and checked out at this univ. And everyone at the charity boy's home and the board there should be checked out. As someone said earlier, this is probably just the tip of the iceburg. The idea that just one man is the perpetrator of this and so many covered up for just one guy? I don't believe it.
It seems Penn State has deified Paterno.
No wonder the guy has been there so long.
It's gone to his head.
Then they cancel/no-show out of respect the thing to do.
It’s a typical liberal university. They wanted to “celebrate” Sandusky’s “diversity” and show compassion to his “inherent” urges. After all, Sandusky wasn’t doing anything uncommon for male homosexual community which we are all being coerced into embracing with “pride”. Predatory behaviour toward pre-pubescent boys is the norm for many of that persuasion, a group which is undoubtedly well represented in the Penn State faculty and administration.
Utterly meaningless and Salon (a leftist organ) is evil for bringing politics into this situation. Moreover, they fail to realize that being a registered Republican isn't the same as being Conservative. Jacob Javits anyone?
Another thread is reporting that a small news outlet says Spanier will be out by the end of the day. Either resign or be fired.
On one of these threads in the past few days, someone posted a link to some raunchy stuff that went on in Lincoln in the late 1980s, I believe. It was a link to a book, but I don’t know the book’s name. The only name I can remember from the story is Larry King. (not CNN’s Larry King, but a Larry King of Nebraska.) I had a vague recollection of hearing about the scandal years ago, but my memory of such is not very good. It’s one of those things that I filed away because the story is so unpleasant, but it involves pedophiles, big money, the occult, etc.
Notice that there is an absence of commenting that this is an alleged CRIME. They are not using the word, CRIME, enough.
AND, why not at least, take a “leave of absence”?
The real story is that Joe Paterno donated to Obama! That pretty well explains the culture of corruption and tolerance of the homosexual lifestyle under his watch.
http://www.newsmeat.com/sports_political_donations/Joe_Paterno.php
His donations certainly don’t reflect those of a true Conservative.
Disagree.
Joe Paterno deserves much better than that.
Especially since we don’t even know who the victims were. And we certainly haven’t had a criminal case brought to court yet, have we?
People are calling for what amounts to a later-day lynching.
The sanctimonious MSM just loves knocking down a successful Amrican based on accusations and inuendo.
Let’s have a TRIAL, for God’s sake!
Paterno has done wonders-—both academically and financially-—for Penn State. Making him leave in humilliation without adjudication would be nearly as disgraceful as anything Sandusky is being accused of.
If anyone knows of or finds this link please repost. Thanks-
Honestly, I would not be surprised if McQueary kills himself in the next few weeks.
This is a guy who is six-foot-three, former Division 1 quarterback. Probably always fancied himself a tough guy and was always regarded as such by those who knew him.
Now, he's forever the chickenshit pansy, who saw a 10-year-old boy getting anally raped and, instead of intervening and saving the boy from this horrific fate, he ran away like a schoolgirl and cried on the phone to daddy.
He's a world class pussy. I think it was probably rough for him to know it himself all these years, but now that the whole world knows, I don't think he's going to be able to take the heat.
Let’s see at least..”a leave of absence” until this alleged CRIME, is put on trial.
Precedent has been set for such an action in Pennsylvania with R. Bud Dwyer.
My take on him was possibly he was in a COMPLETE state of dis-belief, possibly in a state of near shock, went to his closest his dad.
Given that Joe Paterno contributed money early on to Obama, does that alter your opinion of the coach?
