To settle the complaint at the immigration service, Kraushaar initially demanded thousands of dollars in payment, a reinstatement of leave she used after the accident earlier in 2002, promotion on the federal pay scale and a one-year fellowship to Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, according to a former supervisor familiar with the complaint. The promotion itself would have increased her annual salary between $12,000 and $16,000, according to salary tables in 2002 from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

PAYDAY!!!!

Wow, throw in a free year of fooling around at Harvard while being paid and I'll drop the charges!

This woman is a piece of work alright. All this for reading an email? All this for being denied the ability to work from home when she is a spokesperson who needs to be at the media's beck and call? And of course, media types know her--she's a spokesperson!

I have lived in the corporate world and through people like this. She was willing to take the taxpayers on a hundred thousand ride for nothing.

What did Jack Nicholson's character say in one movie: "When I think of a woman, I think of a man, and take away all reason and accountability".

So far we have Bialek and Kraushaar--the BK show--have it your way!

I hope this is the highwater mark of this nonsense.
