With Lin Wood I doubt there will be any polygraph.

He’s an excellent attorney. Cain couldn’t have sought better help to steady his ship amid the controversy that threatened to push it off to a dangerous political sandbar. You can see Cain picks superbly qualified people.

I’m convinced he would do the same as President.

Lets hope this dies down soon. I am sure the media is digging up dirt on their next victim. NOW, Cain can refer all questions to his atty and we can move on with the election.

I was very impressed with the lawyer’s opening statement(s).
Actually he was so good, I was worried Cain might look pale in comparison. But my worries vanished with the powerful presser by Cain. Cain exceeded expectations. He looked presidential!

Saw this on wiki. Lin has represented and won large settlements for some high profile clients. He is the medias worst nightmare...The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that “Wood has 28 years of experience as a trial lawyer focusing on civil litigation, representing individuals and corporations as plaintiffs and defendants in tort and business cases involving claims of significant damage. He also has extensive experience in First Amendment litigation and management of the media in high-profile cases. He was the lead civil attorney for Richard Jewell related to reporting about Jewell in connection with the 1996 bombing of Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta; the attorney for John and Patsy Ramsey and their son in matters relating to the 1996 murder of JonBenét Ramsey in Boulder, Colo.; the attorney for former U. S. Congressman Gary Condit over the May 2001 abduction and murder of Chandra Levy in Washington; co-counsel in the civil action in Colorado against NBA star Kobe Bryant; lead counsel for MedQuest Associates Inc. and J.P. Morgan Partners LLC in a class action in Atlanta dealing with health-care issues; and lead counsel for AirTran in defamation litigation against the Cleveland, Ohio, newspaper The Plain Dealer.” [15]

Dary Matera described Wood’s successes in the Richard Jewell case: “Richard Jewell hired himself some crack libel attorneys, and they’ve been hammering the media ever since. So far, Atlanta lawyers L. Lin Wood and Wayne Grant have torched NBC, CNN, a community college where Jewell once worked, and other media outlets for more than $2 million and counting. And that doesn’t include the undisclosed “six figure” fee they secured for the movie story. The biggest lawsuits - against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and some other major media outlets - are still pending.” [16]

A 2008 book by Jim Fisher described Wood’s role in the Ramsey case, which led to the couple’s exoneration: “In 1999, after absorbing an enormous amount of abuse from the media, the Ramseys went on the offensive. They hired a more aggressive attorney, L. Lin Wood, and published a book, The Death of Innocence: JonBenét’s Parents Tell Their Story.” [17]

The Los Angeles Times described Wood’s role in the Kobe Bryant case: “The woman allegedly raped by Kobe Bryant has hired renowned attorney L. Lin Wood, a libel specialist who has represented such clients as the family of JonBenet Ramsey, former Rep. Gary Condit and Richard Jewell in lawsuits against the media.” [18]

I’m switching to Newt. Cain is innocent but he looks like a buffoon trying to defend himself from the “honey trap.” Newt is now the sharpest knife in the drawer. If its between Romney and Newt, I’m going with Newt.

Is it possible to sue someone’s lawyer, like Gloria Allred? She seems to have gone on TV and made slanderous statements against Cain. A mega-lawsuit against her would be great to see.

Maybe this is what the opposition is wanting; Cain to get bogged down in legal expenses and constantly defending, rather than promoting himself. Cain’s powerful attorney is, no doubt, quite expensive. They took Sarah out of Alaskan politics with that tactic of bringing forth multiple claims she had to pay lawyers to defend.

I should say that it likely won’t work out for the slime this time IMHO. Cain seems committed to forging ahead. None of this surprised me once he started topping many polls. I believe many quarters are scared to death in the knowledge that Cain could go the distance and easily take out Obozo by a landslide in the General. I seriously doubt anyone fears Mittens in this way. I pray nightly Cain rises above the media hype and keeps the train running on schedule.

More eyes are on him and more people know about him now than there were before this smear campaign broke out. It could work to his advantage if he plays it smart, always appears Presidential, and keeps his mouth in control (few to no mis-speaks). Hopefully this high-priced lawyer and a good PR consultant and a tightly controlled campaign organization keeps the Cain Train on its tracks. It’s a tall order and he needs help. I am doing what I can to support him. He topped his Iowa fund goal of $999,999.99. I hope the more the media rambles on about nothing, the more he $$ draws in. We need a patriot in the White House to restore honor to that office.

Frankly, I don’t see how any Lib is proud of Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, or this current dolt. But they somehow are, and deserve to be roundly defeated by a decent and honorable man.

Cain / Newt 2012 :)

He was pretty good at scaring CNN, NBC and the New York Post into quick settlements in the Jewell case,” said Atlanta lawyer Jack Martin, who originally represented Jewell during the criminal investigation. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he employs a scorched-earth policy here.

“If you’re going to go to war—and I do adopt the philosophy that every lawsuit is a war and each step along the way can be described as a battle—then you’ve got to believe in what you’re fighting for and in the person you’re fighting for,” Wood told the Chicago Tribune. “I do that.”

L. Lin Wood>>>>>

He looked good on TV. And that’s what counts these days. Just his appearance will convince other female opportunists + their lawyers to do nothing rather than be made fools
