Yes! Most of my extended family lives here and have ALWAYS been in the minority politically. I am so happy for them and especially my Mom who finally gets to see how great it will be with Republicans in charge!!!!! A good day for sure. Oh and if this county goes Republican this year then they will go for Republican President for sure especially if the Republicans do something before the election to show they are worth having. HAPPY DAY!!!!! It is DEFINITELY in the Republicans hands now to make a quick impact.
Obama has to take Pa. to win.Obama will lose every state but the extreme liberal ones.
Good news for PA.
Beautiful area! I like it even more now!
Wife and I from Westmoreland, been up here on the Yukon close to 20 years now. Last time we drove all the way back east was in 97, too congested, no room or space to breathe. Wifey’s brother called a few weeks back, I argued with him some about big “O”; they sure are some Dems down there, so glad to see going GOP.
I...
Love....
it.....
This is a suburban/ruralish area...what made it so historically Dem?
This is amazing. If only the voter fraud in Philadelphia was cracked down on, and PA would be easily trending GOP in the presidential election.
Yay for my county!!!
Let this election be the death knell of radical leftists and their agenda and a much needed clue for the “enemies within” of America regarding their defeat in next year’s election!
Yippee!
The County Controller incumbent has lost narrowly as well, although the margin is only 0.42% and thus in the 0.5% range for a recount.
It is now past time for what decent Democrats remain to cut all ties with Obama and the Soros puppet masters.
Just awesome. Winning local races against entrenched Dems is especially sweet.
That’s great. I hope they don’t let you guys down. Organize to watch them, demand from them and ride the heck out of them so you get what reform you want.
I’m having a FUBO moment.
... savoring it.

Vigil, this IS a big deal. All the Frick mines that were in Westmoreland County and the rise of the UMWA this was part of the melting pot of America during the industrial revolution. Union’s have ruled for decades. I went to school down at Youngwood 34 years ago. From Indiana.
Too bad Allegheny County is still as infested with Democrats as ever. *sigh*
Westmoreland County is full of conservative people.
It’s good to see that they’re now voting conservatively.
I don’t know anything about that county, but local politics is different, at least where I am. The difference betwwen republicans and democrats at the local level is usually a choice between what developer gets the graft and public/private partnerships. On local elections, I tend to ignore party and vote for whoever is least connected to the good ole boy machine.
Hey, two weeks ago, O’bummer’s canadian bus tour came through my town and I gave him the finger, too!
