I did not know that. He’s, er … not thinking of Josh Kraushaar, is he?
“Her son works at POLITICO,” Block said of Karen Kraushaar, whose name POLITICO printed earlier today after other media outlets made her identity public…
Block appeared to be referring to former POLITICO reporter Josh Kraushaar, who left for another outlet, National Journal, in 2010.
Josh Kraushaar tweeted earlier in the day, apparently after getting questions, that he’s in fact not related to Karen Kraushaar, and simply has the same last name.
Josh Kraushaar is tweeting in disbelief tonight:
Mark Block must get his facts from Internet comment boards, based on comments to @hannity. Not related to Karen K and don’t work at Politico
For a presidential spokesman to go on TV and make up blatant falsehoods doesn’t speak well for his boss, either.
The only positive benefit about being smeared by Mark Block on Hannity is I’m getting 100 new Twitter followers a minute.
Could a man who accused Rick Perry on national television of a “despicable” smear only to back off from it the next day really be so careless with the facts?
Prediction: You’re going to see three camps quickly emerge on this story. Camp one: “I can’t believe Block threw that accusation out there without confirming it.” Camp two: “Maybe … Block was thinking of another reporter?” (Some Cainiacs are already tweeting this.) Camp three: “Josh Kraushaar is lying; he really is Karen’s son. Where’s the birth certificate?” Place your bets now, as Block’s sure to be forced to clarify tomorrow what he meant.
I think it is time for Block to go. He is over his head.

That’s nothing but one big incenstuous relationship over there. Nothing surprises me with these people.
This is embarrassing. Block is at best an idiot, at worst he sabotaging Cain. Who knows, maybe Block’s the leak...
More and more this is beginning to look like a vicious hatchet job by leftwing and RINO operatives, working in collusion. BOTH RINOs and Libs WANT Romney as the nominee and are working to sabotage any conservative Republican who appears likely to beat him.
The RINOs want Romney to win because, well, because he is one of them.
The Dems want him to win because they know, that like McCain, he is a weak candidate and, like McCain, is a useful tool that will work with them if by some chance he DOES get elected.
So you saying Politco is lying about this too?

I got suckered into it earlier myself, but he says they aren’t related.
He really have strongly denied it on his Twitter. It seems logical, and though a weird name, I am believing the reporter they aren’t related.
Block messed up here. Many are guilty of assuming a connection, including myself this afternoon.
But, we can’t just assume based on a last name, even a weird one.
I am really shocked Block would just say this without proof....
It does concern me about his competence.
There were a couple of FReepers who were tying this together and the posts seem to have gone poof. *shrugs* I have gone through my archived pings and they are no longer there.
I must of missed something. Didn’t he say he wasn’t related? Perhaps he doesn’t know who his mother is?
This just gets stranger by the day.
I am beginning to think so, or at least stop doing any media. They are doing good things strategically. This is a stupid error after Cain had a pretty damn good day with the presser and good interviews. No need for the campaign manager to be doing this much tv. I haven’t seen any appearances to note of Perry, Romney or Newt’s teams. Let’s let the candidate do the interviews. He’s pretty good at it, by the way.
Let’s see, it was first all the fault of Rick Perry, second it was all the fault of the dirty Dems, and third, now it’s all the fault of Politico by way of all the fault of the son of the bimbo, who fourth, is/is not her son, or of any relation? I AM getting popcorn for tomorrow. Now THAT’s ENTERTAINMENT.

Block has blamed everybody and his brother so far with no proof. He’s a political hack and does Cain a disservice.
