If no one called police, then why does the article say the DA chose not to prosecute in 1998?

Would that be the same DA that disappeared and seems to have faked a suicide? Running from the mob maybe?

Maybe, but the DA declined to prosecute in 1998, and then didn’t disappear until 2005.

It took them seven years to bump him off?
