Because the East Coast Elite Republicans in charge of the RNC gave him the chance.
It is the old game of :”It’s MY turn’.
Romney is running on the same assumption.
I am waiting for others to thump Romney in the primaries & then see what the RNC tells us about choosing a candidate.
At this point, I don’t think Bibi will give the USA a single heads up when he takes out Iran.

Need to ask the RNC, but imo that’s why Repubs lost. In hindsight Repubs are better off today than had McCain been elected.
