If the poster had watched the actual linked videos he would have seen Newt saying he is no scientist, but he defers to what science discovers. Newt had evolved on several issues. The ones playing purity games want to say that evolving is flip flopping or will ignore the reality that he has grown on issues. They will also pretend that they're not pushing a faux purity game when that's all they can do to establish a default candidate rather than a meritorious candidate.

I don’t know the science one way the other myself. But one thing many times missed in this debate is that even if one believes that:

1) Global warming is real, and

2) It’s caused to a significant extent by human beings,

that DOES NOT support

3) let’s have a mega-trillion dollar economy-destroying tax, Cap & Trade.

A free market in all forms of energy - which is always cleaner in the industrialized world, rather than in the more primitive world where we get much of out energy - plus cheap solutions such as painting rooftops white, would be sufficient to solve the problem.
