I just voted.
The only thing worth noting is that quite a few of the Republicans in my Upstate New York district ran unopposed. At least half of them. The most race for the most powerful position, County Executive, had no opponent for the Republican incumbent.
Democrats didn’t even field candidates for many.
I don’t know if anything can be taken from that, but I don’t recall it happening in the past.
Democrats now 2012 will be a tough year. They are probably are saving money and resources where they can, and not bothering to spend money to field a candidate in a district they're unlikely to win.
