Also, the question of who is financing these attacks on Cain causes me to wonder if it might be a Republican causing this problem? Would Rove/Romney or the rest of the RINO camp go this far to shoot down a conservative?

The answer is yes.

Exactly! Who knows who is behind what these days..

It's dirty early in the race for the ticket slots.. and mighty expensive to keep campaigns running..

plus, using a Tammy Faye Bakker look-alike for the first live allegator appearance .. Brilliant!

I wondered that too, until someone reminded me that this is SOP for Obama. He did exactly the same thing to Jack Ryan, so that Obama only had to face a weak Republican candidate in the US Senate election.

Even back in the IL state senate election, Obama used underhanded tactics to remove candidates from the ballot, clearing the way.

Facing Cain in the general election next year would be Obama’s worst nightmare. Eliminating the candidate most likely to beat him is exactly what I would expect.

Considering what’s at stake, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the answer was “yes”.

I don’t know about Romney, but Rove went as far as to sabatoge Christine O’Donnell AFTER, repeat AFTER, she had won her primary in Delaware.

If Rove wants to get involved in primary fights, that’s fine, that’s what primaries are for. But if Rove sees fit to ATTACK THE WINNER of a Republican primary, then his political career needs to TERMINATE (I would grant one except...a David Duke type, but that’s it). To this day, I don’t understand just who the hell he thinks he is.
