Speaking about the allegations made by Sharon Bialek earlier today, Herman Cain said there was not “an ounce of truth” in her statement.
“I had a few of my staff members there with me,” Cain told ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel in an interview tonight, describing watching the press conference earlier in the day, “and I’m sitting here and they’re watching me and they can see steam coming out of my ears. The feelings that you have when you know that all of this is totally fabricated, you go from anger, then you get disgusted, you try to control yourself to make sure you watch this thing all the way through it and I was listening very closely.”
“And then when it was all over with,” he added, “I said I know what we got to do because there’s not an ounce of truth in all of these accusations and my team is putting this stuff together. That’s why I’m willing to do a press conference tomorrow to set the record straight.”
Cain is scheduled to hold a press conference in Arizona tomorrow afternoon.
“We watched it,” Cain said of Bialek’s press conference, “because we didn’t even know this whole thing about woman number 4 was going to even come out. So that was a surprise. At least it wasn’t one of the many that have the first name ‘anonymous.’ So now this one actually had a name and a face, so we watched it to see what it was and who it was and we are dealing with it.”
“We are taking this head on,” Cain emphasized.
When Cain talked about the impressive fundraising his campaign had done since the allegations broke ($2 million at least), Kimmel joked, “Do you think other candidates will follow suit and hire women to charge them with sexual harassment?” Cain rejoined in kind, saying, “If they’re smart, they will.”
Cain said he called his wife after the press conference finished (they were in different states today), and she gave him this response: “’The things that that woman described,’ she said, ‘that doesn’t even sound like you and I’ve known you for 45 years.’”
“My own wife said that I wouldn’t do anything as silly as what that lady was talking about because she does know me,” Cain pointed out. “I’ve been married for 43 years to the same woman, and I’m proud of it.”
This is typical Gloria Allred!!!
Some evidential observations posted in National Review’s forum:
- For all the amazingly specific, small details she provided (coffee, choice of clothing, visiting boyfriend’s parents, etc., etc.) and the fact that they met at 6:30pm, Sharon Bialek left out one very important detail: THE DATE.
All she said was “mid-July” and “about a month after” the conference where she met Cain. I found that a very odd omission unless you’re worried Cain (a busy man) might have a really great alibi that blows your story to smithereens.
- Allred produced an old business card, but not the hotel receipt showing the dates of stay and who paid the bill.
That’s a pretty easy thing to unearth. Hotels keep awesome records, even back in ‘97. As do credit card companies.
Let’s dig into the Hotel Logs now to ascertaint he truth (I’ve been calling for investigators to do this since the news came out ).
- The statement was crafty in how they tried to suggest that Bialek was let go for shady reasons... like refusing the sexual advances of Cain or something. They did this twice (once by Allred, once by Bialek). Lawyers do this to plant seeds with jurors.
- Allred poured on the righteous-anger way too heavy. You’d have thought she had discovered Cain was the second shooter on the grassy knoll. Pure theatrics.
- Cain’s right to point out who Gloria Allred is, and what she does. She is a liberal Democrat hack lawyer who specializes in take-downs like this.
having said that, unless records can corroborate Bialek’s claim, You are never going to know the exact circumstances. Justin Bieber can go take a paternity test to defuse his accuser. Cain can only deny (unless we have a similar blue dress that Lewinsky wore with sperm on it that’s still there after 14 years).
Sexual harrasment allegations are the easiest to make becuase they are the toughest to disprove. So that is why we have to look at the credibility of the accuser.
That right there landed him another 99.99 from me...
Some questions raised by the “Ounce of truth” statement:
* So she didn’t meet him looking for a job?
* He didn’t take her to dinner?
* They didn’t end up in a car together?
* The Hotel she booked was not upgraded to a suite?
(The last one can be checked if the Hotel keeps logs as far back as 15 years ago).
And why was the Hotel not named? What about the restaurant they allegedly had dinner at? What is its name?
Not an ounce of truth? Maybe he has an alternate story for what happened in that car but is he denying he was even in a car with her?
That is why we need to hear Cain’s side of the story and not just broad statements like, “I never harassed anyone”.
Tell us YOUR story Mr. Cain and then others will have a better opportunity to evaluate the credibility of both parties.
That is the missing piece of the incident and we need to hear his side.
As soon as Ugly Allred shows up, you know you’ve reached the bottom of the sleaze barrel. The blond bimbo is a typical Allred client, hoping to cash in on her fifteen minutes of media attention.
But don’t tell the amoral bunch on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that. This morning, everyone on their panel clucked over Cain’s doomed campaign, yet they never considered Juanita Broadrick’s very credible account of Clinton’s raping her as anything to disqualify him as President.
The rank hypocrisy of every NBC outlet is staggering.
And she said she told Cain “you know I have a boyfriend”.
If there was an encounter of some sort, Cain had never layed eyes on this woman before. She was a lowlevel peon. He was the CEO of the restaurant association.
So, how in the world would he have known she had boyfriend?
I think the ambulance chaser Allred wrote the story for her. No one can remember 15 years after the fact what clothes they had on, etc.
She is a liar. A money chasing bimbo.
AND, if Cain admits he once ran into this woman, I guarantee you she put the hit on him trying to get a job, and he ran her off.
This whole story stinks to high heaven. Why Allred as a lawyer? How did she know about Allred? There is no one to sue. Does she give Allred half the money that the
National Enguirer will give her for her bogus story? I guess so. So this is now Allfred makes her money. She lies for people and makes a fortune in the process. She’s as low as a snake. Where was this fraud when half the woman in Arkansas were saying Bill CLinton had harrassed them and one even said he raped her. Allred could have cared less. CLinton was a democrat. She has no credibility whatsover.
Alldread is an opportunistic gremlin Dem hack from hades. The garbage she pulled last minute against Meg Whitman to influence the outcome of Ca. Gov race was lowdown sewer licking. She’s just doing her despicable thing while her boss El Diablo smiles in glee.
This really says it all. Mrs. Cain is the person who knows him best.
He needs a Clarence Thomas moment to save his campaign.

My heart goes out to Mr. Cain, his wife, family and friends. I can’t imagine what they are going through.
A caller to Mike Gallagher show said she was truly sexually assaulted and that's the last thing she would say. She would try to get away immediately and then reported it to the police.
Bimbo is a liar and this will backfire on her but maybe not immediately.

She is in idiot and hiring Allred makes it more apparent how stupid she is. Didn’t Allred advise her that all her dirty laundry would eventually be scrutinized and made public?

I am betting that when the truth be known this bimbo was recruited to lie and was paid by an Obama slush fund. Her Chicago connections would seem to make her a likely tool of the Chicago political machine. Cain was right he was going to be the victim of a high tech lynching. It will be interesting if this incident is exposed as a fraud with links to the White House how it will be taken by the Black community. A Black brother being attacked by a white run political machine at the direction of another more or less Black brother ...I would call that racist.
Cain will weather this wicked storm and by faith in God and with our unwavering support this garbage will be defeated.
