The phone banks have been humming for three weeks straight in the headquarters of the teachers' union for Minnesota's largest school district, as Anoka-Hennepin teachers and their allies plead with voters to renew an operating levy worth $48 million a year.

"If this levy were to fail, I don't know what our district would look like," said Julie Blaha, president of the local chapter of Education Minnesota.

A levy AKA tax increase is “all for the children.”

Colorado voters dumped one pushed by the teachers unions last week.

According to teachers unions a state can never spend enough on education. After all, it’s “all for the children.” (Tee hee))

In the district I’m in (Michigan) the geniuses have decided that now is a great time to ask for money to build a new school.

Single payer education: high price, low quality; supported by thousands of “Conservative Parents” who send their children to these schools. Disgraceful.

Vote no, let the district get rid of all those administrators and their support staff and all the school psychiatrists and irrelevant classes and get back to the business of the three “R’s” and they may be shocked at what they can accomplish with not much money.

But...if teachers don't make double what the private sector makes, and they don't get all kids of totally awesome retirement benefits, what will happen to the....uh....oh yeah, "the children". (You know, those little creatures the union uses as political tools and weapons to control the uncooperative parents.)

Nothing to worry about. It's just the DNC wondering if their yearly donation has been laundered and mailed.

LOL-

Are you Serious?- they have been pulling this for years
in minie-snowta. If they don’t get their money -they will:

1. lay off the best classroom teachers
2. picket the legislature -WITH CHILDREN IN TOW!
3. Add more union money/people and resources against
TARGETED conservatives (even RIN’os)
4. Hold a strike!

and all of this will be reported positive by the MSM.

This is the future of Issues like this, as the Unions are going to find out that the Public will de-fund them, if the Legislature fails to remove Public Employee Unions.

At the Federal level, this is ALSO the way that the Union problem will be addressed, when more Defiicit spending to support the greed is cut off. Unfortunately, the Public will suffer with un-employment due to Taxing businesses out of existence and/or having to move off-shore, but those living on government handouts will be cut off from their lifeline, and that's when it will get ugly.

5. Make the children suffer until the parents cave.
No gym, no art, no recess, and no socializing between classes.

It's used to support democrat politicians. They collect the tax payer money, launder it, and pass it back to the DNC. They scratch each others back.
When the democrat politicians need more campaign money, school taxes go up.

We did more than dump it, we trashed it. 65% against IIRC.

The more failures they create - the more democrat voters they create.
For every life they destroy, there's a new democrat voter. They crank out failures by the thousands every year. That's why 48% of the population collects some type of free handout. This didn't happen by mistake.

I have no idea what they spend the money on. But when I have to buy supplies and snacks for the whole darn class as they are doing now and I see brand new computers, lcd tv’s and tons of out of class room staff I have a good idea where it is going.

5. Cancel bus service for kids farther out.
6. Charge a fee for sports or cancel them.
7. Make it a 4 day school week so parents have to find a way to watch their kids.
