I’m actually speaking of the “settlement” that was paid by the NRA to the two women. That’s what I think he should have disclosed early on.

Because he was not party to ANY settlement. NRA confirmed that on Friday. In fact, the agreement (I say agreement because this was NOT a lawsuit settlement) was reached AFTER Cain left.

He was telling the truth. He did not know they had this agreement until someone told him later in the day.

And by the way, as far as we know, there was only one agreement/settlement. Politico and NYT said there were two, but I have yet to see anyone credible confirm that.

Politico walked back the “second woman” this weekend too, saying that they only spoke with her once and have not been able to reach her since.

I am suspicious there even WAS a second accuser, to be honest. Politico has blown their credibility on any of this.

HE WAS NOT A SIGNATORY OF THE AGREEMENT(S) AND RECUSED HIMSELF FROM THE ENTIRE PROCESS BECAUSE OF THE CHARGES AGAINST HIM.

The NRA also agreed to release the compaintants from the NDA and they refused to accept it.
