The Herman Cain does late night!
Right Scoop ^ | 11/8/11 | Kimmel/Cain

Herman Cain had a fabulous interview tonight with Jimmy Kimmel and I must say it was very inspiring. He came out strong, saying that the accusations from today were totally false and said that he was going to hit it hard tomorrow in his press conference. And much more!

The entire interview was excellent:

That interview sounded like a man that was almost energized by the attack — like he knew he was ready to fight what could never be proved because it never happened, and it's made him a stronger candidate because he knows they will all be gunning for him.

I just don't think he could have acted the way he did if he had done what was alleged.

He didn't look like Clinton did every time you knew he was caught and he looked like he wanted to squirm away and couldn't crack a smile. He didn't ask what the meaning of “is” was.

And if he's such a serial harasser, why only at the NRA ? Usually people like that don't stop or start late in life.

That was a great appearance for his campaign. It’s hard to imagine other candidates be so at ease under the circumstances.

Great interview, upbeat and funny. Cain says that his campaign will respond today to the new allegations.

Thanks for posting that link. Hilarious! I liked how Kimmel kept taking Cain’s words and suggesting innuendo with them, just like his accusers may have done! lol

I wish Cain the best for his presser tomorrow.

Labor union controlled perhaps?

If I’m not mistaken, Cain fought government regulations on the restaurant industry while he was head of the NRA.

The first accuser, the one that the NRA has exit paperwork/severance with, worked in the Governmental Affairs office of the NRA.

Her attorney Bennet was her attorney then as well, and he has the Clinton tie (Podesta)

Clinton already would have had a bone to pick because of Hillarycare.

Just guessing.

Wow, just wow. That is a guy that completely believes in his own innocence. I was laughing out loud during that interview. Cain is in such control of himself! Please God that he weathers this storm and comes out swinging in today’s presser. He was incredible, what grace under pressure. He is a leader. Period.

I noticed something when they showed the clip of Sharon Bialek on Kimmel. She looks up and to her right when she temporarily stops reading and recalls the event. I thought it was interesting:

I then noticed she did the same thing in her CNN interview:

Some say looking up to your right indicates lying, some say it depends whether you are right handed or left handed, and other’s say it doesn’t mean anything at all. I find it interesting.

No, probably because they support someone other than Cain.

I’m not on the Cain train. But I did see the interview and he did really well, and I’m pretty surprised but I think this sex stuff is helping him. Certainly I haven’t hear anybody say that Cain has done anything as bad as Newt with his serial adultry, and it looks like this emphasis on sex may cause people to think twice before jumping from Cain to Gingrich for other reasons like thinking they don’t want a national sales tax.

I have allowed myself to get emotionally wrapped up in the Cain candidacy, because I find him to be inspiring and because I see him to be a pathway out of Obama. Other Republican candidates could become that for me, but have not yet.

I happened to have the day off yesterday and heard the Allred/Bialek news when it broke. All evening I can best describe my emotions as grieving, not for what Cain may or may not have done, but for the potential future of his candidacy and four more years under Obama.

Thr denial by Cain’s campaign was not enough to change my mood. The Kimmel interview, 10 minutes in length, was a game changer for me. I have the belief, true or not, that he could not have given that interview the same way if he were guilty of the accusations. If he follows through with a solid press conference, my belief in his denials will be confirmed. If he has been falsely accused, he needs the support of people like me more than ever.

Over the past few days I have not viewed his responses to these issues as “stumbling”. So far they have reconfirmed my positive first impressions of his character. I now feel with even greater .confidence that he would be grace under fire in a crisis as president.

And I so long to watch Bill Kristol “Cain was never to be the nominee” suck it if Cain is sworn in.

Herman Cain didn’t sound like he was on the ropes at all. Even more telling was Mr. Cain’s fully relaxed posture. He didn’t need to read from a piece of paper to fully participate in and ENJOY the interview. Unlike his accuser - Bialek not only had difficulty staying on message with a scripted paper, she had Allred breathing down her neck keeping her in check.
I believe Cain. He really rankles progressives and RINO’s!
