You don’t need $800 for an $800 upgrade. A $50 or $100 bribe will do the trick, particularly if you know someone in management who has done this for you before.
I agree, they probably knew him at the Hilton and it was probably a common business practice. (and again, I don’t think he paid it out of his own pocket)
I think much of her story sounds believable and that she just stretched the the crotch grabbing/head shoving portion.
I am supposing that the meeting was more casual than usual business but not nearly as far and to the point she describes.
The problem I see is that Cain seems a bit foolish/naive in his not better protecting himself from possible accusations as he has suffered.
Since the mid 80’s or so people sadly should know better and tread carefully in some situations.
Work situations, around children etc... it is sad but the truth.
