Andrea Rossi’s Ecat featured on Bloomberg TV!

WRITTEN BY ECATREPORT

MONDAY, 07 NOVEMBER 2011 13:46

Very interesting. This weekend Bloomberg TV aired a clip from Ecat.com‘s video footage taken from the 6th of October event. The TV-show energyNOW! have a special feature each week they call “The Hot Zone” which brings up new energy developments around the world. Andrea Rossi’s Ecat was apparently interesting enough to air on US national TV during last week’s program “Nuclear waste and the race for resources” for almost one minute.

energyNOW! is a new half-hour weekly TV news-magazine and opinion program designed to inform and engage Americans on the most pressing energy issues of the day.

energyNOW’s mission statement:

“energyNOW! is an editorially independent news organization created to use the latest television and digital media tools to fill this reporting gap on critical energy issues. Our newsroom is staffed by a team of veteran accredited journalists who regularly cover news events at federal agencies, the White House, the U.S. Capitol, and around the world. The program will focus primarily on the key challenges described above – oil dependency, the future course of the electric power sector, leading the clean tech revolution and energy efficiency. The successful resolution of these issues is central to America’s future. energyNOW! will cover them week-in and week-out with the substantive and original journalism that these issues demand. And energyNOW! will put these issues into perspective, making them relatable to its viewers and focusing its reporting on how they impact our lives now and in the future.”

Fast forward, The Hot Zone featuring Andrea Rossi can be seen between 19:02 and 20:01. Here is a transcript:

“An Italian inventor has conducted what some are saying is a successful small test of the Holy Grail of energy production — cold fusion, a low-energy nuclear reaction that could theoretically produce endless, self-sustaining and incredibly cheap energy. And that’s what’s in this week’s “energyNOW!” hotZONE. The inventor, Andrea Rossi, tested what he calls his E-Cat, or Energy Catalyzer, on October 28. Rossi says his technology uses a secret catalyst that reacts with small amounts of nickel powder and hydrogen gas to create clean energy in the form of heat, no radioactive materials, nuclear waste or pollution. Rossi tested the E-Cat in Italy for an unnamed U.S. company and claims it produced in five hours about as much energy as 70 gallons of gasoline contains. There’s plenty of mystery and skepticism surrounding Rossi’s cold fusion test, but he says the E-Cat is going into mass production soon.”

FoxNews, Wired, CNN and Bloomberg TV may all have editorial independent journalists representing their high profile media outlet platforms, but nevertheless this topic represents a cross-section of its readers interest. It’s only a matter of time before the Ecat hits “the real” news outlets catapulting it to a whole new dimension. And by the way, information hungry Googlers seems to be rising for every day now as well. Take a look at this graph showing Google Trends for searches conducted on “E-cat” over the past 12 months:

The relative searches has almost trippled during October alone. Even though no more tests are announced, the interest fueled by the well-known media platforms has certainly helped. Independent reporting or not.

The Cold Fusion Ping List

Unfortunately, if Rossi hired a bunch of actors to pretend to be the customer reps, created an elaborate year-long special-effects-derived series of demos, bribed, hypnotised or otherwise fooled Focardi, Levi, Kullander, Essen, Bianchini, Stremmenos.

Did he convince a bunch of Greek crooks to set up a dummy company called Defkalion to pretend to fight with him over the non-existent eCat, to perpetuate the illusion and spin it off into a competing mirror-scam?

Has he convinced his former partners to set up another company called Ampenergo to pretend that they had a contract for The Americas for a substantial sum or that they just did this with no proof because they have worked with Rossi and trust him because he’s such a fine fellow?

Who arranged for Piantelli, Miley and a host of others to try to fool the world into thinking that cold fusion was real, got NASA, SPAWAR, The Defense Threat Reduction Agency and The Defense Intelligence Agency to say nice things about the field, got Bushnell to make a fool of himself, sold his profitable company to his ex-partners in order to spend that wealth on a multi-million dollar scam.

Was he certain that once he got all the above ducks in a row he would pretend to sell the first device and then reel in the true target of his dastardly plan – the second (this time genuine) buyer of a 1MW plant that will net him $2 million dollars until they want their money back or sucker a $100 million dollar deal under the table? He has experience in pulling the wool over all these idiotic eyes and knows that they will just take his word for it and not want to test if his 1MW plant can heat a small village without truckloads of coal or oil or a big fat electric cable coming into the container from beneath the floor (no you can’t lift the carpet!)

In order to pull this off, Rossi had to risk discovery by interviewing all the people he subsequently fooled so that he could only invite the gullible Professors and not the brilliant anonymous posters on the Internet who surely would have found him out – then all bets are off.

I’m with the guys who think that Rossi is an idiot and they are all geniuses .

This is just a TV version of a blog with a source that boils down to “Rossi says...” At least they didn’t call Rossi a physicist like the other blogs.

It appears that a relatively innocuous post responding to you was pulled.
This means I have nothing more to say to you about LENR. Bye.

And here's the part the Kevmo and Rossi don't want you to know about...

This article is about criminal charges against Rossi for fraud for filing false invoices to take advantage of a "Law on the earthquake" (Earthquake-related subsidy?)

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dandrea%2Brossi%2Bpetroldragon%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DX%26rls%3Den%26biw%3D1384%26bih%3D876%26tbs%3Dcdr:1,cd_min:1/1/1900,cd_max:12/31/2010%26prmd%3Dimvnso&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=it&twu=1&u=http://archiviostorico.corriere.it/1994/marzo/09/petrolio_dai_rifiuti_inservibile_tossico_co_0_94030910061.shtml&usg=ALkJrhgXc3rY5p0XyvoUR3OKXbJgiy8uvw

This one is about the toxic waste from Rossi's alleged "garbage to oil" invention. According to this article, the "output" from Rossi's process was no more than 3% hydrocarbons. It appears that this was a syndicate of Rossi's company and several others to dump their toxic waste by claiming that Rossi was converting it to fuel.

Rossi's defense was that the Italian govermnent and the Mafia conspired to change the environmental laws to make him look guilty when he had done nothing wrong. His defense didn't work, and Rossi went to jail.

According to this article, Rossi's "process" for converting garbage into fuel was to "mix the waste with lime" before sending it to the dump site.

Here's an article about Rossi's gold scam. Fake invoices for shipping gold that never arrived at it's destination. More jail time for fraud.
http://dodfuelcell.cecer.army.mil/library_items/Thermo(2004).pdf

This one is particularly interesting. Rossi sold the U. S. Army on his "invention" of a vastly more efficient Thermo-Electric (TE) Power Generator" that would convert waste heat into electricity.

"Dr." Rossi (notice that the Army thought, for some reason, that Rossi was a "Dr.") could improve the efficiency of these devices from "the current science of 4%" to 20%

Rossi produces a small-scale device, which appeared to show this dramatic increase in efficiency. (Although, as is typical of Rossi's demos, the testing methodology appears to be flawed. They only took measurements "every 1/2 hour", leaving as unanswered what the device was doing when no one was actually monitoring it.)

After this demo, Rossi's factory burned down, and Rossi left the country. He claimed that it would be more "cost effective" to build the actual devices in Italy.

None of the devices produced by Rossi worked. 19 of the 27 devices were totally incapable of generating electricity "for a variety of reasons." The remaining devices produced only 1 Watt of power, not only significantly less than the results promised by Rossi (800 - 1000 Watts), but less than the exiting technology provided. In other words, they didn't even work as well as devices he could have bought off the shelf.

The report carefully avoids drawing any conclusions about Rossi's involvement in this. I suspect that is because it doesn't help a military man's career by admitting that he was the victim of a con artist.

Rossi has increasing exposure. He can no longer be ignored.

Now all he needs to do is have a large, respected entity willing to announce that they've been running the E-cat for a week or more at their independent location, and can attest to a large net energy output.

"I think you have an unhealthy obsession concerning this subject."

When Kev gets interested in a topic, he pursues it thoroughly. He did the same "yeoman's service" during the Gulf of Mexico spill. Nothing either obsessive or unhealthy about it.

The folks interested in this topic appreciate his diligence.

However.....constantly posting the SAME COMMENTS over and over on every thread Kevmo posts "is"; both "obsessive" and "unhealthy".

Have you looked in a mirror lately????

He would be a Dr. but they shut down Kennsingon U. before he could purchase that diploma.

For charges there has to be fraud. So far, Rossi is letting others report on the tests. He is VERY careful not to make any claims himself that would fall under fraud statutes. I guess after being convicted five times you start to learn how to play the game ...
