Baldwin played Dave Robicheaux in the movie of Burke's Heaven's Prisoners. Nice nude scene featuring Teri Hatcher in there too.

There was also a straight-to-DVD movie made of In the Electric Mist with Confederate Dead with Tommy Lee Jones as Robicheaux.

IMHO, neither one comes close to capturing Burke, my second-favorite author after Stephen Hunter.

By the way, am currently reading Feast Day of Fools, Burke's latest. It features Hack(berry) Holland. So far, very good with the usual assortment of sociopaths and sinners seeking redemption.

I don't usually read. I try to walk a league every day and carry a CD player with me. I prefer the Robiecheaux character on CD; the voice projects his character much more vividly than the printed word. I will keep my eye open for "Feast Day of Fools."
